  We were involved (not at fault) in a major accident. Car was a write off and my collision coverage was with BCAA. The rental policy is up to $1000, so about 2 weeks. Not near enough time over the holidays to resolve anything. This whole process can take a month. Spoke to the Manager and the most they could offer was 2 days out of "good will".

  As soon as my family is healed, we are cancelling any and all insurance with this company. At the end of the day, it would have been less of a headache to just have ICBC collision coverage, instead of going with a private option. Make no mistake. When you have an accident, they will find any way to limit their costs despite the circumstances.Membership is not rewarding.

  After posting this review I was contacted by BCAA and they were very interested in how they could make the situation right again. I was pleased to see that they reviewed further what had actually happened and determined, indeed, that taking away the rental car after the $1000.00 policy was up was not right under the given circumstances.

  They provided financial compensation, rather quickly, and this has changed my opinion of their intent to make membership rewarding; Vernon BCAA is actually striving for this.
