  We got out of the car, and didn’t even have time to shut our doors before a woman came marching up to us and pointed at the parking sign (labelled with ‘Impressions’), then rudely told us to “move [our] car to a sign marked with Ratio.” She then began to berate us for having the audacity to park in their parking spot.

  Lady DESTROYED my hair last year and I am still dealing with the disaster she did to me. I told her before she touched my head that I was very nervous with people dying my hair. All I wanted was my highlights touched up. She asked me weird questions that had nothing to do with my hair and wrote them in a book. She said she wasn't going to use bleach... what? I wanted blonde hair. After my hair was done I instantly started tearing up. She SOMEHOW dyed my hair darker then it was with orange and PURPLE streaks. I sat in the salon chair for 6 hours and it still looked awful. I wish I had a picture. She told me to come in the next day and as soon as I walked in she dyed my whole head a nasty fake blonde. I used to have nice light brown hair with light highlights. As she was blow drying my hair I was literally watching it flake off. I lost inches. I went somewhere else and the girl had to cut my hair to my shoulders and it was still uneven. My hair won't grow the same and it's still destroyed. DO NOT GO TO THIS JOKE OF A SALON

  I understand that Impressions must be in a difficult position with such a wonderfully successful and popular company, Ratio Coffee and Pastry, as their next-door neighbour, but there is a right and a wrong way to treat not only potential clients, but also other human beings.

  I have always had excellent service at Impressions. Hair, mani/pedi, and eyebrow waxing. The staff is very knowledgeable in their separate fields. Also everyone there is super friendly and they make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The prices are also quite reasonable.

  Yesterday, I took my younger sister for a walk-in haircut. I had done some prior research on Vernon’s hair salons, and Impressions seemed to be a relatively inexpensive, yet elegant choice. We parked right outside of their store, in front of a sign marked ‘Impressions.’

  There wasn’t even time to explain our true intentions before another woman came storming out of the store to give an even ruder spiel than had the first woman. The two then began to laugh hysterically together and praise one another for having verbally harassed us, as if they had just done some wonderful deed.

  Even if I hadn’t been a client of theirs, and had simply parked in their reserved spot accidentally, what kind of a person would address another human in such a spiteful manner? I was too shocked to even form a response, so I promptly removed my young sister and myself from the hateful situation.
